Pose of the Week - Down Dog

Sanskrit: Adho Mukha Svanasana

English: Downward Dog (aka Down Dog)

Benefits: Improves Headaches, Constipation, Focus, Colds & Asthma

Variations: Alternate Bending Knees (Pedaling); Bend & Straighten Arms

How to: Stand up and reach hands towards toes. Walk hands out in front of you and reach your bottom towards the sky, while your heels stretch towards the ground.  Generally, this is the first yoga pose that your child performed when learning how to walk!
