Pose of the Week - Tree Pose


Sanskrit: Vrikasana

English: Tree

Benefits: Strength, balance, relieves sciatica

Variations: Stand against wall, look up at sky, close eyes, reach hands to sky

How to: Stand in mountain and shift weight to right foot.  Bring left foot up and place it on right ankle, calf or thigh, avoiding the knee. Bring hands to prayer in front of chest center.
