Pose of the Week - Bridge

Sanskrit:  Setu Bandha Sarvangasana

English: Bridge

Benefits:  Alleviates mild depression; improves digestion; rejuvenates tired legs; extremely therapeutic pose

Variations:  Alternate lifting each leg in the air towards the sky.  For a more passive pose, place a block or blanket under tailbone.  

How to: Lie down on your back with your knees bent.  Lift your bottom off the floor and expand chest while keeping your upper back and shoulders on the ground.
